Pet friendly during certain hours. If I recall, it's before 8 or 9 am and after 5 pm ! The tide is quickly going up, so make sure you go at 5 if you want to benefit the beach with your furry friends for a longer period ๐Ÿ˜Š We had sooo much fun there with our 2 dogs ! You're supposed to have them leashed at all time, but frankly there was not a lot of leashed dogs, so make sure yours is fine with other dogs coming around ๐Ÿ˜Š There's enough free parking during those hours, but we passed during the day (since we didn't know at the time the hours for dog access) and it was full and not free. Finally, don't try to go with your dog outside of the restricted hours, it's well written everywhere and you can get fined.

Nice little beach with its houses just across the street. Make sure not to park on the street if your are not from here. $50 We have been 3 times to this beach during our stay, inclusion the night of the 4th of July for the fireworks.

Can't go wrong with this beach. Definitely one of the best beaches in the region. Also good for surfing.

This is what doggyโ€™s heaven must look like. Dogs everywhere having blasts. The beach like this is hard to find in Maine coast, the long stretched soft sandy beach becomes even wider on low tides. We went there twice during our vacation in Maine and both times every dogs and their humans we met were well behaved. It was easy to find a parking spot on a Saturday morning and itโ€™s free.

Long beautiful flat beach, easy to walk one end to the other. Beautiful sunrises in the east, beautiful sunsets in the west. Water temp is average for this area and the surf is varied, sometimes calm and sometimes not. Surfers and surf lessons are common. People are generally friendly, not rowdy. There are some bathroom facilities but across the street is all residential not commercial so bring everything you need for the day. When you arrive at the beach pay attention to the high tide marks and place your beach gear accordingly. In the morning and the evening this is a dogs beach and it's not uncommon to see unleashed dogs running free. Parking is limited, not free and tends to fill up quickly. And, BTW, you could meet George, Laura and Jeb Bush!

It is great place to relax (unless the tide is fully in) also if you are into surfing the waves are around 7-9 ft which is really nice! Also if you are looking for a place to relax this is most likely the place. The one thing that got me though is that it is the smell there does not smell good which kind of made a tiny bit bad but I still enjoyed it so hopefully you will to!

Huge beach great at low tide for families and body-surfing. Nice waves at higher tide. $25 for the day to street park (good parking turnover mid-day, at least in summer weekdays).

Nice beach! I went June 2 so no parking concerns, I believe $ parking permit with the town starts on June 15 and people park on a side street when visiting the town for the day, sandy in some areas, rocky in others, sort of narrow beach next to a walkway, steps to get down to the beach! Lifeguards were great and gave tips on great local food! Watch out for flies and have fun!
